2305 with bachhoe/swivel seat

With a little finess the original seat swivel isnt that bad. It does scrape up the lower corner of the seat back though. Still cant quantify spending 600 bananas for something that already works with minimal hassle 99% of the time.

Now if only I could find my ballast box. Apparently its sitting in the back of a JD dealership somewhere in NH. That would make for a nice little treasure hunt roadtrip if you ask me.

Not sure why, but I posted a fix for the seat rotator the other day on here and no one seemed interested. Maybe it just didn't get noticed but its a shame. Mine is working great now.

I read your "fix", thanks. I'll be working on doing that this weekend. For sure it can't hurt that seat operation! But if we can get a part number for the new design, it never hurts to dealer/company grief. Wonder how they'd like to see a pic of it with an Orange seat!

The kit for the new seat is part number LVA16254 and retails for $660.00. Still trying to get local dealer to put it on under warranty.

Just heard from the dealer, they've got a replacement seat on order and say it will be covered under Warrenty!!!!! Don't have it yet, but right now I'm pretty happy.

How old is your 2305? I'm curious if I can get my fixed under warranty even though it was purchased used from a private party and is about 3-4 years old.

Oh, another thing, since I assume everyone in here has a backhoe on your 2305s.

Is it normal for the boom up/down control on the backhoe to be extremely fast compared to the right control stick (dipper in/out and bucket curl). The bucket curl seems to take FOREVER while the boom up/down is wicked fast. Even at slow RPM the boom comes back up with enough force that when it hits the stop hard enough to rattle everything on the machine and send me bouncing for 2 seconds (if the stabilizers are already up). Just wondering if thats normal or if its just me.

I just used mine 2 weekends ago. My left hand control is the pits compared to the right hand control..
Right control is nice to use ,, left control either real slow or faster than the right control.... If I knew what I was doing I would try to take control apart and try to repair...

Hey jsydkjfohp, mine is the same way. I was just noticing it the other day and it was aggravating me too. I'd find it more useful the other way around but I suppose it is because you get more force in trade for speed and vice versa.

I really notice the speed of the boom cylinder when I'm connecting/disconnecting the backhoe. You have to really actuate it carefully or else it will slam open/closed, possibly on you if you're in the way. Scary.
