Backhoe 2305/ Woods BH6000 Backhoe Update

No it's 53". Seems fine. I moved over 30 ton of rocks and dirt to grade my building floor. I did not have any ballast since my backhoe wasn't mounted. I had to be pretty careful and slow. Even so it's impressive.

Boy, it's nice to finally see the package and like mentioned above, I'm very curious about performance. Also, can you sell me how much trouble you anticipate to swap from a backhoe to the mower deck? More specifically, do all the brackets underneath come off and chalk up an hour or so, or is it as quick as the BX23?

Nice setup! I like the idea of using the same seat for both the tractor and the backhoe! That BH sits very close to tractor compared to my 46 BH. I whish JD had thought about something similar!

Off and on is similar to the 200CX loader. It takes about 1 or 2 minutes. There are 2 quick release pins, then the hydraulics do the rest. There only difference for the mower will be the three point hitch since the linkage attaches there. It takes longer to remove and reinstall the three point hitch than the hoe.

So you have to take the 3pt stuff off to put on the hoe. Would getting the optional hydraulic cylinder for the mmm help in that respect?

Yes, the 3 point has to come off. The lower mounting pin goes back in with spacers provided with the backhoe to keep the pin from moving out and contacting a tire. The pivot for the MMM linkage must be off the pin or it interferes with the backhoe mounting. They provide a bugee cord to hold it away from the tire. I have taken mine off because the linkage doesn't fit.

I'm don't know anything about an optional MMM cylinder, but it might be something to check into. If you want to switch from 3 point to backhoe often it may be worth having. I have not yet used my 3 point. I have only used my MMM, and loader. In fact I don't own a single 3 point attachment yet. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Prices for a BH6000 are all over the place. I purchased mine as part of the deal with the 2305. The one thing I am satisfied with my dealer about is pricing. I've seen prices as high as $6800 for the backhoe with brackets. I paid $4250 then got $250 back for installing it myself. I always like to do this type of thing myself since I am qualified. It helps to be able to see how things are installed and how they work for the future. This was a pretty easy install. The only difficult part is the access to the front hydraulic port where a 1/8" pipe plug has to be installed to change the fluid flow. I used a couple of allen sockets and magnets. Without the correct tools the valve would need to be loosened and moved to get access to the port.
