It's a spa technique DG 203. Will post pics of where I installed the thermocouples. This is a 2010 jd2320 yanmar diesel.

did i miss something or why special reason you ran it out of the lower engine block vs the place just above the alternator?

at least one of the ports(the T-ed one) is for oil temp/press. the sender mounted in the top of the T is the factory oil press switch. I am not sure on the other port.

Having a 2305 and not wanting to make a new connection on engine block ..If you bought digital temp gauge, spliced wire going to old warning light on dash to new unit .... Would this work... ??? Yes need to connect 12v and to ground ..
Just wondering ??

no because it is a switch, it turns on the light at X psi. it does not give a variable signal like a sender for a guage would

I wanted the block temp rather than the cooler, thermostat housing temp. Plus, it was easier to run both sensors to that location to prevent rubbing, chafing of the wiring and melting concerns.

The port I used is block temp as it is before the t-stat in that housing.

Just an update the temp while mowing is just a hair under 180F.

I ran my to the thermostat housing above the alternator, mainly because I didn't have any extra green juice, but I noticed that my temps were far lower than 180, about 130 to 150.

I think running it to the block is a better true temp rating though, probably will be running it there after I get some of that green juice. Moving it won't be so hard, the hard work of installing it has already been done.

I do have a question for any JD guru's, is there actually a thermostat in these machines? I only asked because I have heard a few people call that place on top that.

I like what you did installing the gauge Pcabe5, but can anyone think of a way to mount a gauge without cutting a hole in the dash? I'm just going through a trade-in deal to get a new machine (see post on Unbelievable Trade-In Offer) and I fear my dealer would not have offered me this trade if I had customized the machine by cutting a hole. So I'd like to figure out a way to mount the gauge in a readily visible spot that does not require major mods to anything. Most of these gauges come with a mount of some sort that can be bolted somewhere. Just need to find the right spot.
