Thanks Broncsfan. Those are good prices. I think I will order some.

JSharp, part of where I will be pulling my tow behind bush hog can be swampy so I think I need to go with the biggest ones I can.

Now for an extra set of rims. Do I need to go to my CC dealer for those? Anybody know how much I can expect to pay?
Why do you need an extra set of rims?

* I think I need to go with the biggest ones I can.
* Nope you want to go narrower than the 9.5 turfs that's on it now.
Turf tires are floating tires
and will spin on swampy surfaces..
Putting a wider lug tire on will increase the floation ability of the ag and cause it to spin easier just like the turf does.

Thr 8.5 has a better chance of cutting through the swampy surface than does the 10.5.

Thanks Jbrown. I understand now. I had it backwards.

I need an extra set of rims so that I can swap tires depending on what I am doing without having to buy a tire changer. I have a very well manicured lawn that I spend lots of time, energy, and money on and do not want to ruin it with AG tires. :)

Thanks guys, I swear, I love the internet. :p

Ben running my bx23 with AGs all over my yard for 4 summers now and lawn damage hasn't been a problem.
If AG tires on a bx23 Sub Compact in 4 wheel drive with the BH and a FEL on it don't hurt the yard I'm sure a little ole lighter 2 wheel drive CC 2500 series garden tractor with AGs on the rear hain't gonna hurt the yard.

I have 23x8.50x12 on my 2518. I was told by the dealer this was the replacement size for the turfs. Traction is great and have had no problems.

I put wide snow tires on a 71 ford pick up and made it helpless.
Years before I had a 65 VW that I put tall narrow snow tires on.
What it wouldn't go through it would hop over.

Guys, those of you who have lug tires for your 2500 series help me out. I cannot find on the Carlisle website where there are any 23x9.5x12 lug tires. Everything I see is 23x10.5x12. Would those fit?

Where did you get yours? I have checked Northern Tool, TSC, and ASC. No dice...:(

We have the same rear rim 7.5" wide, and the 23 x 10 - 12 asks for a 8.5" wide. But long story short is yes they will fit and operate perfectly fine (see pictures). Never had an issue with the turf being ruined either, of course I dont go on the grass when it is really wet, and im towing something. Go with at least a 4ply tire, you might be able to find a 6 ply as well. helps with weight load and reduces flats the more plys you have.
