Be patient guys. Mahindra is well aware of the issue now and the fire has been lit under providing the solution. I'm guessing they have gotten enough bad complaints from customers that the issue is now front and center. Like I said in my earlier post I would wait till the units come from the factory updated if you are thinking of buying one, that way you don't have to pay pick up and delivery if your dealer or Mahindra dose not cover it.
I just went through that kind of an issue with my little temp gauge problem. I gotta tell ya, Mahindra is starting to drop the ball big time and they need to sit down and do a rethink and they need to do it fast.
They actually wanted to have me take my tractor to the dealer on my nickle way to h e l l and gone down to Yuba City to reflash the ECU to take care of a very minor issue, a Mahindra issue, with a stupid simple ECU reflash that they now intend to carry out over the Internet. That's a BAD BAD way to go about it because it's fraught with all kinds of problems that are going to jump right up and bite Mahindra in the backside. That's putting a whole lot of stuff to go wrong into a process that is actually so simple it's just plain silly. Re flashing an ECU is a simple task that takes only minutes. Those of you with tuners for your cars and trucks know this. It just doesn't require all the rigamarole of hauling tractors around the country to do it in a bassackwards fashion. Now you're looking at adding in Internet connectivity problems (speed doesn't matter), what browser are you running, what OS are you running, etc. etc. etc. H E L L Mahindra can't even run a decent web site and they are now going to expose themselves and their user base to all of the Internet mess for a relatively simple OBDII ECU reflash process? Trust me, the likes of Microsoft, Comcast, Apple, Dish, etc. etc. don't care if your Internet connection drops halfway through the reflash or who's to blame, so why expose yourself and everyone else to all of that unnecessarly? Maybe ever who dreamed this nonsense up should be shown the door, perhaps they can find a job at Microsoft.
Thankfully for me I chose my dealer wisely and he is going to pick the tractor up himself and haul it down to Yuba City to do the reflash. It's silly but as long as it's not my nickel, I don't care, as long as it's taken care of. I can do without the tractor for a few days, I just hate to see so much waste and so much stupidity and that is just what this is, stupid. I've seen people try this with other products and it never works out well. As an Engineer for most of my life I learned the value of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) early on. If you go looking for trouble you're sure to find it and that is exactly what I think Mahindra is doing here.
Never wait for problems to fix themselves because they never will so fix all the tractors now whether or not someone is griping about it. Warm weather, cold weather it doesn't matter, if it's broke fix it because sooner or later it will likely come right back to Mahindra anyway.
