2555/2565 EGR system issues.

Jambonee, YOU CAN TAKE ME OFF YOUR NOTIFY LIST...!!! Went into the big city of Gaylord today and the dealer Zaremba Equipment was ' up ' on the 2555 kit deal. So, I ordered my tractor from Chattanooga Assy. Thanks for the updates, though... Keep up the good work...!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good deal Jerry. What can you tell us about your deal ? Will Zaremba have the tractor updated when you take delivery or will they update when kit is available?

They are going to try to get it updated down in Chattanooga assembly, if not they will do it before they deliver it. Should be shipped up here to Michigan in about a month. They have several other tractors ordered from down there. It's a 2555 HST Cab, 2nd spool valve, mid PTO, loader, and a 78" front blower. Almost $44K plus sales tax delivered to my house. They did not give me a breakdown of how they figured the price....but it encluded $300 off for the implement and cash discount. I will start another thread with pictures... someday. Sold my old JD2240, doing 400 hour PM on my 5035 now..

PS: I know, geez, that I should have waited longer... but late Spring, early Summer, and a guys genes just make him want to find a curvy willing new tractor to spend some quality intimate time with.....

Excellent! :dance1: You will love your new tractor when she arrives. I've spent seat time with one of her sisters. She is comfortable to operate and has some really great operating features. :thumbsup:

anyone still having these issues with the 2555, we are no longer a dealer at my employer in wiscconsin. sales fell off but interested to hear if they are still making tractors with the egr issue or not

As a follow up on my 2555. The dealer maint guy came out right after I contacted them and fixed mine. He cleaned the EGR and showed me how to do it if it needed it again. Then he reflashed the ECM with the latest update. I have used it since then with zero problems. Never had to clean the EGR since, either. I think part of the 2555 problem is that it needs a winter front or the radiator semi-blocked some to reach proper operating temp in cold weather. They put a humongous fan on it to keep the hot climate guys happy, and that is a problem in the winter. Way too much air flow......

Jerry, what year is your 2555? Mine is an early 2016 and I had the same problem with not reaching normal operating temp in the winter even with an air flow restriction baffle. However, I had a problem with the engine oil return flow that resulted in #2 rod and bearing failure, Mahindra installed a brand new engine the was built in Oct of 2018. This motor runs totally different that the former one. it is quieter, runs smoother and reaches a good operating temp with no air flow restricting necessary, even ate temps below -0.

Mine is a 2016. I run a piece of Wally sign board witha 9" hole cut in it which is centered on the fan. Since this cuts the HUGE amount of air being pulled thru the radiator, it also limits some of the snow that is being sucked into the battery/air cleaner compartment. I also mod'd my air cleaner with a piece of 2-1/2" sawdust vacuum tube which terminates up near the top of the radiator. This gives it a snow free area to suck air, and the air cleaner does not fill with snow like it originally did when snowblowing. I had to relocate the horn to be able to run the air intake hose upward, but that was no problem. I am GOLDEN now... snow fears me...
