Bought a 4' from Rural King the day after Thanksgiving for $370 using their 20% off coupon.

Two factors that really seem to affect the price are product liability and product liability.

The brands that plan on being around are having to charge for it, and try to keep in under control. Cheap knock offs might not be as worried, its easier just to become a new company.

Personally, I don't want to find out they had a problem with their blade mounting bolts, with it spinning behind my tractor.

So I am stuck paying more.

$299?? I say then all bushhog manufacturers better stop manufacturing rotary cutters. Quality? If quality is average?, then there is still big improvement cost room. Spending $50 more will make it better quality than many cutters in the market. $349 will still be much lower price than the others.

What happened? Did you give up making rotary cutter together with Koylu mfg in Konya? As far as I heard, they were about to finish the rotary cutter too. Yes, Chinese are dominating everywhere, especially steel based products these days. My only congratulations to them Chinese..
