My first Kubota/first diesel arrives tomorrow, so lots to learn.
If my local source of diesel fuel does cannot definitively tell me if their fuel is pretreated with antigel and I take the precaution of treating it myself, will it hurt anything if in fact it was already pretreated? In other words will it hurt anything if it has effectively been treated twice?

In no way will it hurt anything. Antigel additives progressively lower the gel point less with each increase in additive. In other words if you treat at the normal ratio it may lower it 30 degrees, double that and it may only lower it another 15degrees, triple the amount and you get a additional 7.5 degrees. Antigell additives can only modify wax crystal formations to a point.

That depends on if you are talking about adding some thing like power service or
kerosene :

As in don't start cutting it with kerosene if you don't know what you're starting with. I wouldn't add kero anyway. Power Service or Howe's is what I'm using.

I just add 32 oz of power service white bottle to a 55 gallon drum of fuel year round and forget about it.
That's 3 ounces in a 5 gallon can for smaller fuel users.

I have been adding about 2.5oz of Power Service (white bottle) to each 5 gall of diesel and never had an issue with gelling. Always starts after a crank or two. I use it year-round and that way I don't forget to add it when it is really needed.
The temperature here gets as low as 35F below zero. I also heard that the gas stations do mix diesel with kerosene in the winter months in this area. A friend's tractor had issues with gelling without the additive.
