I came across this company in my web travels:

CMP ATTACHMENTS, llc

I thought I would pass it along for anyone looking for a reasonably priced 3-point dethatcher. There are not a lot of units like this on the market.

I ordered one from CMP earlier this week and received it yesterday. Put it together and played with it a little a couple times since. Works great in spite of the ground still wet from snow melt!

Just used my dethatcher today in some hay like grass with dead tall stuff. Area came out looking like a lawn. People give these flack for actual dethatching but it does wonders for me.

I give up. No matter how I rotate the picture it ends up upside down.

Photo is fine. Nice dethatcher. What I found with upside downess is that if you edit the photo, like make it slightly smaller, and save it, the saved files is right side up. I can't explain it either. As for the CMP dethatcher, I have the 50". I'm happy with it. Pulled out a ton of stuff from my lawn. Thread in the JD L&G on it. I think mine weighs about 50 lbs or so.

I am in the process of building my own. Do you need the wheels to help control the depth?

I guess if it's heavy enough, you'd need the wheels. Mine seems just right without any wheels. But, it's only 2 rows and not very heavy.

If you have a choice I recommend it. Mine is brainless. Pick it up and put it down.

Ok thanks. I will make it so I can add the wheels if needed. I will try it with out as it is light and then add them if it digs too deep

That looks really nice. Do you have any photos of how the tines attached? Seems like for the price it can't be beat
