The points are way out of line and you need some type of turnbuckle also. Hopefully there mounting holes so that you can add brackets. A lot of these smaller tractors locate the sway links to the inside of the lift arms. Look around the drawbar area to see if there is any attachment points there.

I didn't have much luck tryin' to hold the arms from outside. I moved my chains to the lower bolts of the pto cover. I only adjust them tight enough to keep an implement from hitting the tire at ground engagement height. When the hitch is raised the chains, because they are fixed at the bottom, pull increasingly on the lift arms. There's just a tiny bit of slack at full lift. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
