Hello, I have a small 3 pt BH that I am going to fab a subframe for. It looks easy enough to mount from Loader frame to Rops bolts at rear axle then to BH. My question, Is there a problem using the 3 pt lift and the rigid toplink with the subframe?
If I fab it up using the 3 pt lift, wouldn't I be able to use the lift to aid in mounting the hoe on the tractor? Thanks for any info and opinions.

Not really necessary, the hoe hydraulics will help with hook up, use the boom/dipper with the outriggers.. no need to use 3pt.

.

The simplest subframes are beams that attach at or near the FEL subframe
up front and beneath the rear axle at the rear. I have used the ROPS
axle connection bracket on one of my subframes before. They then use
the existing toplink connection and a special fabricated toplink.
Better subframes avoid the use of the toplink entirely.

Irwin has it right....you will use the hoe hydraulics to position the hoe for
mounting. This requires long enough hyd hoses to connect up the hydraulics
first, of course.

Yes, what they said. You back over the sub-frame, hook-up the hydraulics, then use the hydraulics to mount the hoe. It will be easy if designed correctly. Go look at a few at the dealer to see how they are made there.
