One final update...
I went to cut and level a very hard and dry clay "hump". First without any auxillary weight but rear wheels full of fluid...tires spin with very little traction going to the FEL. Hooked up auxillary concrete weight to 3ph and attacked same hump...an entirely different outcome. Granted it doesn't cut near as good as the 4 CY loaders I am used to operating but it grunted and did a fine job! Without any doubt in my mind the weight was a great addition for times I need serious traction or a counter balance to something I am lifting with the FEL. Very happy with the weight (1,000 lbs) although I do wish it was a smaller package like cast iron weights would offer. At a total cost of $ 0.05/lb...I can't complain and will put up with the size.
