I would like to put together a 3-PT Grading Blade. Features I would like to include would be tilt and rotation. I can locate most of the materials that I need for this except for the cutting bar. Does anyone know where I can obtain a bolt on (hardened steel) cutting bar?

King Kutter sells cutting edges as replacement parts for their grader blades in 6, 7, and 8 foot lengths. Check out their online parts manual .

Another place to try might be your county road department. They might have a blade edge removed from a motor grader that was broken rather than worn out. You'd have to cut this to size, I'm sure.

Good luck on the project and post pictures!!

well personaly i wouldnt use road grader cutting edge, it is about an inch thick or more, and around 6 inches wide, a bit overkill for a 3pt blade, but if ya could get used snowplow cutting edge from the county or somewheres else that would work good, its usualy about 5/8 inch thick and around 3 or 4inches wide when its worn down, they wear most on the ends so ya can get a nice peice outa the center of the ones off a 10 ft snowplow. thats what we have used to replace cutting edges on lotsa stuff we have

Tractor dealers may also have bulk cutting edge in stock. They will cut to the length you require.

It's usually sold by the inch. Be sitting down when you get a price.

Not sure how tall your looking, or if you are in snow country, but on our groomers we use blades about 6 inches tall, and in lengths around 5 or 6 feet by 3/4 inch thick. I can look into it more if you want, but I believe our club gets them made somewhere, or you can buy them. We use Mogul Master drags. The newer ones use a lot of shorter blades, but the older ones used fewer/longer blades.

I usually get mine at the local scap metal dealer. He gets them from the road crew fairly often. Most are in really good shape. Usually they are either 4" or 6" wide. They sell them by weight and they usually cost about $15-20.

The state of Oregon just auctioned off three pallets of unused blades a couple of weeks ago on ebay.

You might try a construction company. We change out cutting edges on our graders and dozers regularly. They are dust to us, but would work a lifetime on a tractor. I'm sure that you could get a used one for the asking. I would try the city or county, they have to get rid of them.
