Thanks for compliments, spent a lot of time putting together what I thought would work best for me.
Here is a picture taken with my cell phone that shows the whole thing.
I bought the tractor a year and a half ago, but the trailer is new.
The
grapple runs off a diverter tapped into the bucket hydraulics. This works great for me. I had a few acres of pine trees to clear and
grapple saved the day (or year). It didn't work as well with the tooth bar off. In the picture the tooth bar is off because I had to use the bucket for snow removal - and we had a ton of snow.
Kudos to the observant guy who noticed the Woods snowblower in the back of the pickup. After using the bucket for snow removal last winter, I vowed not to do that again. I bought the snowblower now because i thought by the time Sept/Oct rolls around my memory would have faded some and I may have decided to go another year with out it.
The trailer comes in at 1350 lbs. The tundra is rated for 7100 lbs. I was looking at a featherlite trailer, but the price was significantly higher than the Aluma. The specs for the trailer are at the Aluma Website, the trailer is model #8218. The hitch is a Robin quick fit hitch.
I have a few 4-wheelers and a Polaris Ranger, so when not in use with the Kubota, the trailer can also pack my toys.
As I mentioned earlier, I haven't used the trailer but twice, but it and the Tundra worked fine. We have some pretty steep inclines getting over the Cascades, and the truck pulled and handled it well.
