I have a new 3320 with Cab and FEL (decided to sell my 25 year old 850 for something a bit more comfy...being a semi-retired guy)...have only put 9 hours on the machine...Loader work pushing back and moving snowbanks, snowblowing and some grader work..and noticed that the fuel gauge remained pegged at Full (reads empty...as it should when the machine is off. Took about 4.5 gallons to top it off. In that the capacity is 11.8 gallons, wouldn't being 4.5 gallons down show on the gauge? The response from the dealer was a somewhat less that satisfying...I don't know. My previous tractors' gauges would rather quickly show a drop in the fuel level.

It seems to be a known issue without a real fix unfortunately. Mine will read 1/4 of a tank and it will only take about 4 gallons. I just ignore it now and go by calculations. I don't see it as a hindrance though, this is only the 2nd machine I have ever had with a fuel gauge period, so not knowing what I've got is normal to me:D.

Thanks for the information...and the past postings (I guess I have to learn how to do a better search...in that I did try prior to posting)

Yep, that's what the 3320 cab tractor fuel gauge does, reads full for a long time & then starts to drop.

I just top up the tank when the gauge needle starts to drop & don't worry about it.

With the temperature swings you get in Maine it would be a good idea to keep the tank topped up to limit condensation.

A rough estimate for the 3320 working hard blowing snow is about 1 gallon of fuel per hour of run time.

Stay warm

Roger, I just reread my post and it seems very short and that was not my intent. I think all the Deere guage are poor compared to automotive guages. I am reminded of when I got my new Harley and complained about the guages fogging up. HD told me that is how it is. I was as dissapointed with that reply as you will be with your dealers reply. I thought when you spent over $20,000 you would get a product free of design defects. But if that is the worst that goes wrong it is not so bad.
