First off I'd like to thank everyone for the wealth of information on this site.

I'm looking for some advice on a quote I've been given...does this sound like a good deal?

3120 Tractor
Open Station
eHydro
Mid PTO
25x8.5-14 R4 Tires
Dual Mid & Single Rear SCV
iMatch Quick Hitch Category 1
Power Beyond Kit
Forward Lighting
Rear Work Light
Warning Light Brush Guard Kit
Automotive Cruise Control

300CX Loader
Mounting Frame and Hoses
Ballast Box
Hood Guard
Less Bucket
61 In. Heavy Duty Bucket

72 In 7-Iron MMM
Attaching Parts

T105CLE Pro Series Line Trimmer

BH25LE Gas Blower

CS36LE Chain Saw

All for $21, 534.29 or 22.91% off retail. The Green Fleet program adds about an 8% discount.

Note I'm ordering two of these packages which qualifies me for the Green Fleet program. We're ordering the Gas Blower, Chain Saw, and Line Trimmers to meet the 18 points worth of equipment to qualify.

I paid 21K for a 3320 open station, ehydro, R4s, auto cruise, 3rd svc, 300X loader ($500 diff), and 72" 7-iron + attach parts - with 45 hours on the tractor. Just for comparison for you.

I think that price looks great for brand new.

BTW - want to sell a chainsaw???? Email me/ PM me if so.

Price sounds great! I was under the impression that the forward lighting kit and rear work light were not compatible. I think they use the same harness connection. Can anyone confirm this? If they are compatible, I would like to add forward lights to my order.

Thanks for the quick input guys. It sounds like this might be the deal. I'd like to hear from some other 3320 guys as well see how they think it compares.

marklynn: The picture on the John Deere site shows both front and rear lights on at the same time. Looks like the wiring connects from the front light to the rear light. It also says you can have two rear work lights...just says to order two.

Also I've had more than one dealer give me quotes with this setup so I assume they can do it.

I just thought of this but does anyone know if the rear work lights effect the operation of the folding ROPs?

The lighting harness splits the connection on the tractor. There are two connections on the tractor already. The Y adapters will allow for front and rear on each side.

The rear lights mount to the same bracket as the front lights. ROPS operates just fine.

If this is true, I will change my 3320 order. However, I'm still confused why it says "Not Compatible with Forward
Lighting Kit (LVB25546)" when you order the rear work lights in the Deere configurator. Yes, the picture shows both, but the statement seems to contradict this. Also, if it does work, are the rear and front lights all controlled by a single switch (i.e. they're either all on or all off)?

Front and rear will work with the switch turned all the way to the right. I can show you a picture of the harness if that will help.

When I read the config options the last time it said under the rear light that if you wanted dual rear lights to order two sets.

Mike,

Thanks - no need for a picture. I was aware that I could have two rear lights. I was under the impression from the configurator that I could not have both the front lighting kit and the rears. This is apparently some bad info in the configurator that confused both me and my salesman. In any event, I've added all the lights to my tractor order as of today.

I asked my dealer to add the front and rear lights to my 3320 order. He later called me back and said that although they physically fit on the tractor, John Deere does not recommend installing both at the same time on the 3x20 series because the alternator cannot support them simultaneously. He said if I wanted to do some additional wiring I could add a switch so that only front or rear were on, but not both. According to him, the tractor is not wired to support front and rear separately so they will not install them given Deere's stated incompatability. He was very nice about this, and I ultimately am purchasing both both sets of lights. They will install the rears, and I will install the brush guard kit and front lights after I take delivery.

Looks good, I paid 21300 for a 3320, eHydro, R4 tires loaded with calcium, 300CX loader with 72" bucket and cutting edge, 3rd SCV, deluxe hood guard, block heater, and LX5 bushhog. And a John Deere hat.

If you can get a similar deal on a 3320 instead of the 3120, I would do it in a heartbeat. I would think you should be able to get the same deal, but pay a little more for the extra HP.

You don't want to get stuck with an under powered machine later on down the road.

Also Think about Resale, someday you are going to want to sell this machine, and the truth is, there isn't much of a demand for this size tractor in the under 30HP market. More people want more than 30HP, not less.

Something to think about anyway.

Jason actually my current price is $21,438.54 for the 3320 and I've added a second rear work light and I think I'm going to add a wear bar for the heavy duty bucket. They came out with $700 in discounts and the upgrade to the 3320 was only about $805 (I only even looked into because of all the helpful posts on this forum). So we almost upgraded to the 3320 for the same price. I think we're going to go order the tractors tonight.

Well we ordered two tractors (3320), two line trimmers (xt120), two 14" chain saws, and two handheld blowers. Total came to $42,893.82.

We decided to upgrade the line trimmer to the professional series, added a wear bar to the heavy duty bucket, and added the second rear worklight. Also ordered the ehydro, iMatch, Automotive Cruise Control, R4s, 300cx, Rear SCV, Front Work Light Kit, Power Beyond, 72 MMM, and balast box.

They think the tractors should be in and setup in about 2-3 weeks. I'll have to keep you posted and get some pictures up when it comes in. Thanks again for all the help and info!

Update: We broke down and decided to add a 448 backhoe to our order. Talked to the salesman this morning and he agreed to add the 448 with 18" heavy duty bucket for $6250 + 550 (brackets for second tractor). $6800 to have both tractors setup so we went ahead and added it.

Should add a lot of versitality to our tractors. My father and I live about 3/4 mile from each other so it shouldn't be a big problem to run and get it if it's at each others house.
