I couldn't see your attachment but a 1T DW (I assume this means one ton dually) will almost certainly have a GVWR of over 10k. Most newer duallies are in the 13-14k GVWR range. which would put you over the 26k combined if you have have a 16k trailer. We are in the market for a new work truck and I have been doing some shopping over the past few days. Most 3/4 tons I have looked at were 9500-10000 GVWR, 1 ton single rear wheels were around 11,500. I didn't even look at dallies because I need a non CDL driver to be able to pull a 14k GVWR trailer with it.
I know you can spec an F350 SRW with a 10000 GVW package, not sure about GM; that may be the best way to go if you want to stay at 10K.

Quite a few years back you could get 1-ton 3500 duallys with 10,000 GVW. If something like that were still available today I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Much more stable towing platform, and as long as you stay within axle/tire ratings you are legal to go.

Throw farm plates on it and towns away. Simple fix since all your towing you mentioned is farm related.

Do they have farm/agriculture plates in KY? We have them in NY but you are limited to 150 miles and no interstate if you don't have a CDL.

P.S. Mr. Pilot: Do you know what the difference is between an F250 10000 GVW and an F350 SRW 10000 GVW? Different springs? Larger differential ring gear? Larger brakes? Just wondering without having to visit dealer?

Yes, they have the exemption in KY.

Same thing, 150 miles, farm business, no interstate, ect.

As for the 250 vs 350. I have had both. Basically it's different Springs, larger wheels and tires, and of course the important legality of being able to haul another 1500# with the higher GVWR.

My 250 with 10K package would drop 5 inches or so with our 18K Trailer. The 11.5K SRW 350 drops maybe 2" with.the same trailer and felt so much more secure.
