Tractor
Kubota l3800hst
I've been reading in here a while and figured I should post something. This past weekend we had to buy a semi load of gold er I mean hay used my 3940 to unload the whole thing from one side pretty quick. One of the reasons I got it was to move a few bales a year and now with a bigger farm and drought the tractor still won't let me down. I'm thinking now of adding a back Hoe to it for more fun and to save the tries from the rocks.

So it did not even break a sweat. Is it very stable with a bale on the front?

Need ballast on rear for lifting up high or turning sharp used bale on rear. Only sweat was bringing 2 bales at a time up long steep hill after the first two trips had to put in mid low a little sooner than first trip. But handled 42 bales no problem

My tractor loses some speed coming up my driveway in med hi.

Hate to be the old wet blanket but looking at the picture gives me heart failure. The idea of carrying a bale that way is just plain dangerous.
Other than that, tractor looks good.

Whatever that bale weighs it sure looks like the maximum, or greater, combination for that tractor. The hay looks fluffy and lighter but would not take much to flip over with that setup. Even a small stone at the wrong time can be a problem so carry low and slow and don't get overconfident. For example, I have an 86 HP, 8,000 JD 5520 and get nervous with 900 to 1,000 lb bales on flat ground. Just my two cents.

Not to worry safety police when I came up the hill front bale was barely off the ground only went high to stack and take photo models were professionals that were aware o risk and had hard hats and safety gear on at all times. Bales scaled 775 average max lift for me is 1350lb. And that don't go far. Off truck and put on rack (liquid feed totes). Always run in med high hills on drive cause slowing but no need to put in low mid unless caring bucket full of rock or logs. So far tractor has out performed expectations just ruff on tires with so. Mo. Rocks.

Glad to hear your 3940 is working out well for you, what other things do you use it for around your farm?

I don't see hard hats on those dogs, or were they the stunt dogs? I'm glad no animals were harmed during the photo shoot!

Like owner like human there as hard headed as me. Let's see been digging muck out of nearly dried out pond dug a new small pond that saved water supply for cows this year. Driveway maintenance (1300ft up hill both directions ) almost kidding. Fence line clearing post digging did a little brush hogging till grass died. Favorite job is pushing over many cedar trees ( just can't get over how cool that is ). Oh yea cleaning up goat and cow **** is a new fun job too

Nothing quite like a good tractor.

Yes...would be interested to see more of the tractor in action or maybe just the scenery. That is a great tractor and amazingly versatile.
