Were you able to order new hose end fittings so you can shorten the existing hoses? I saw at my local NAPA store that they have a hydraulic hose end crimper in store for customer use.

Not yet.

I haven't decided if I'm going to shorten the hoses or have new ones made. It depends on costs. My valve is supposed to come tomorrow and I'll be taking measurements, notes, then head to Spokane to get the fittings & hoses, where they make them in house. The biggest issue is getting to the rear fitting under the seat but I'm sure I'll manage when it comes time to do it.

Take off the entire seat/frame- that's what my dealer did, when installing my second remote, and I did again later when installing a rear mounted diverter for my T-N-T cylinders. That way it's easy to plumb things exactly where you want them to go.

Ok, I assume it will be self explanatory as I start to remove the seat then next the base/cover correct?

My valve came today BUT, it was missing the mounting holes that I was looking forward for it to have. (sigh) a little delay. :-/

Clamp it down with one or two square U bolts.

Bolting it on with those is like failing to put a cherry on top of a perfect sundae.

In other words, **** no! ;-)

Heard that!
Can't you take the assembly to a metal fab shop and have them bend/punch a bracket to your specs? That's what I'd do- then you get exactly what you need from whatever metal you choose?

I do this kind of thing all the time- there is a good metal shop not too far away, and they take a few days, but give me what I ask for....

I can fabricate. I just prefer to stick with the original plan. No sense going the trouble when I can get the correct valve delivered to me rather than spend more $ and time to make a bracket when it's unnecessary.
