Just a shot of the 4115 w/Blower and the last project (shed) I built BEFORE I had the help of the loader, backhoe, and blade (shovel, iron bar, etc. much less fun). That stone wall on the left (not a good view) was built from stones from the area of the shed...I said this land is a bit "rocky". /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
One last pic...This is the deck I built about 12 years ago. All the holes for the posts were dug by hand, the excavation for the 6X6 PT steps, the 20' long PT 6X6's carried by hand (dragged is more like it) ...... would account for the shoulder surgery /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif What idiot would build a 40' long, by 12' to 10' wide open deck in snow country??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Thanks. Sounds good. I am flipping a coin over "carry-all" vs. special rig just for the chipper. I am leaning heavily to "special rig" such as you describe and save the carry-all project for later. Carry-all has its benefits for bringing the loppers, chainsaws, gas, clearing saw... However, all that fits in the FEL. If "special rig" lift, I can, as Bluemule discusses, just lift a bit for the bottom discharge, move easily to where I want it, and not have to make a special floor for a carryall to allow for discharge, or take the C/H out of the carry-all to use it.
I'll check into TSC for the kit and the shorter CAT 0 toplink. I want to see Bluemule's pic's too, before ordering parts.
Thanks all....I'll posts some pic's of snow when we get a bit more added to this last drop.
Hey, what are you doing with my chipper? Seriously, if it was red, it would be identical to mine. The angled face on the base of the unit is where I bolted the drawbar(parallel to axle). I used hooks off old broken motorcycle tie downs(2nd generation pack-rat and proud of it)to hook onto handle on shredder hopper with top link. Will post pics hopefully tomorrow.
I also have the same chipper and you can forget about attaching a tongue. I put one on my chipper but the wheel tread is too narrow to and it keeps tipping. The tongue might work OK if your property is perfectly flat. Another problem is that the oil drain is right where you need to attach the tongue.
The carryall works well but Bluemule's setup may be better because of the bottom discharge.
