It is my understanding that this is only a real problem with the quarter inching type valves. I have contacted Kubota with one response that was very none commital. here is their response:

The B7800 does have the lift capacity to lift and hold 750 lbs. at the 3-point hitch with the cylinder bleeding down. How long of a period are you talking about, is it during transport or indefinite?

my question to them was will the 3PH pick up 750# and hold it. Their anser is yes with bleed down?

My drip lines are partially barried and very securly fixed to the ground. They only are hit when the 5' rotary mower hits the ground and digs them up.

Are there any Kubota people in this forum that can shed light as to how much weight this 3PH should be able to hold. the brochure says pick up 1300# 24 inchs aft.

Thanks,

My B7510HST came with that confounded quarter-inching valve on the 3PH. Now that I know a little more about 3PHs, I would have opted for a position control 3PH. Don't recall hearing many good comments about quarter-inching in the Kubota forums.
