Hey Brian, thanks man!
I remember you enjoying those view during your visit. It was great to have you up there.

Eddie,
Yes, Loretta has her own tractor and she LOVES it. It's Jinma 284 4x4 ... a 28hp tractor with loader. She's got several implements like a landscape rake and tiller to do her garden tending with.
You are right...I never would've thought!!:) Don't be surprised if Steph wants one when she drives Loretta's tractor.
See you on the 14th. If you need directions, PM or call me.

Those decks are very cool. I can't wait 'till the railing goes on. It should add another dimension of character to the home.

I got good news from the contractor today. He met the fire Marshall who drove a big fire truck up to the homesite ... that was his test and he made it with no problems. The contractor said he was "very impressed" what I did to the road and the trees in such a short time. He signed off on everything, so we are good to go again.

The barn is finaled now so they can put the doors on. We just picked out the barn door color this evening. They will also start building the bathroom inside the barn now, and also seal the floor. We're hoping to start moving a few boxes of crap up and store it in the barn. I was going to start moving my machinery up there too, but wouldn't you know it, I just received RFQ's for 13 new production molds. So I've been very busy quoting them. They are due tomorrow.

If I get any of those molds ... oh man.

Price them high. Then if you get the order it will be extra cash for the house fund. :D

Your place continues to amaze me. You have done a great job on building a home that compliments the surroundings.

Well, if "just say no" does not work for you, then just bid them at 2X
what you normally would. So much for "retirement".....

Rob, you have become quite the expert at road grading....esp with all
those dastardly rocks. Very nice!

Jonathan and Dave,
Thank you for the nice compliments on the home and road work. I also did what both you guys suggested ... I priced the molds to make it worth my while.:)
Heck, now I wouldn't mind getting a couple to build.

Rob,

I've tried to give Steph some motivation, or interest in the tractors, and it's just not there. She'll work on framing, fencing, flooring or just about anything there is with her hands, but machinery isn't her thing. Of course, put her on an ATV, and she's just as happy as can be!!!!

Two things that she's looking forward to seeing at your place is your home and your view!!!! If there's some birds around, that would be the icing for her.

Looks like we'll be there in just over a week!!! Wow, is it ever coming up fast. I have a mapquest map printed out with directions and everthing written down on it, so we should be good. If you get a phone call from a 903 area code, that's us. :D

Brandi,
I'll get some when Eddie is there.
There should be a lot more done to it since the last batch of pictures I posted. Hopefully, the doors will have arrived by then. It's not as traditional as your barn project since mine is a metal building, but it should be pretty good for us.

Eddie,
I'll send you a PM.
My Verizon cell number I gave you doesn't work at our place, so I'll give you our At&T camp phone number. We have that to call out in case of emergency. But I'll turn it on Friday in case you call.
You have any idea about what time you'll be coming?

Almost forgot...
Tell Steph there are lots of birds and animals on the property and near the river.
Most common big birds are the Red tail hawks and Turkey vultures. They should be soaring all around. Lots of wood peckers, finches, blue birds and hummingbirds etc. Loretta has 4 feeders at camp. We've seen the large Blue Herons too but they are wary.
It's close to Turkey season too, but they are rare in our parts.
