Most of the folks have posted good solutions. However the best way to prevent this is to replace the couplers with Parker 9500 series couplers. They will connect and disconnect under full pressure. They are simple to use and use the standard ag 1/2' couplers. Just push the coupler in and then flip the lever to allow flow. Since they couple when not under pressure no fighting with them to couple or uncouple. The lever acts as a valve and cuts the pressure off making them a one handed operation.
