I got a quote for a Massey 1754 and it is about 10K more than an comparable LS or Mahindra. Are the Massey tractors that much better? They are even higher than most of the mainstream tractors.

Actually, it is perfect PowerTrac 422 or 425 work. Articulating tractors are going to be more efficient than a traditional CUT in smaller areas and doing tasks that don't involve significant ground engagement. The idea of having your implements front mounted is also a major plus. And, the tractor and implements will store in a much smaller area and be easier to mount.
MossRoad is being shy today. Look at his videos (click his signature).
And still remain sub-5000# machine? I don't think many people would want to pay the price it would take build a frame with the steel alloys that it would take to keep the tractor from distorting it's frame work or tearing itself apart.Just wish kubota would make a HST in a bit bigger machine. ~60 hp seems to be the limit. An Ideal tractor would be a ~70HP machine, with the taller (smoother riding) 20 or 24" fronts, but still in a sub-5000# machine.
