I am about to have my 400 hour service. Anything I should look at or be concerned with?

Tractor has worked flawlessly. A few minor warranty fixes but nothing major. Just finished a
30 hour project trenching/ditching, laying perforated pipe and culvert and back-filling and grading.

I've have the same tractor for about 3.5 yrs and now have just over 340 hrs. I've had very few complaints. Right now, I'm concerned about the tractor popping out of reverse whenever I back up under load (eg backdragging or even just backing uphill); it seems to be getting worse and I hate to think of running the snowblower, steering and twisting around while still keeping my left hand on the lever to keep it from popping out!
I haven't heard of anybody else's DK45 developing this problem; I'm hopeful that it is just an adjustment (right, like that's going to happen). I was hoping to hold off 'til 400 hrs, but I might have to get it into the shop before winter gets serious.
It sounds like you just need a standard service, if you have no specific problem areas.

Rd,

Thanks. I will look at owners manual list. I regularly grease all the linkages under the tractor. Hopefully you will need just an adjustment. I prepped the snow blower today. Touched up all the rust spots and repainted shut, auger and prop/blade. I greased the chain drive and all the fittings - hooked it up and tested before painting - still works.

Let me guess, the door latches, but isn't quite shut all the way? I've tried a couple of adjustments to cure that (without resulting in too much wear on the latch, that is) and haven't had a lot of success. I think the cab is too airtight to let the door close just right and tight (with the gasket sealing all the way). I usually have to close the door a couple of times to get it to close all the way.

RD,

You're correct about door and air seal. Needs a couple of tries to get it closed.

No - my big plunder is paying attention to the loader going through the 8' gate with a tight turn - forgot that my door was open - BANG!! OH... &%^$#!!!!!

Broke the little ram at the top. I epoxied that back together but the door dropped an 1/8" allowing it to rub on the fender. We tweaked the door frame - very stiff - and adjusted the hinges and everything is fine.

I won't tell if you don't!!!!! Like getting your first ding or scratch on your new car...
