That looks like a nice clean install. Mine looks like a jungle gym.

He’s going to add a couple of doors to it so you won’t see any of the pex and manifold setup. I’m happy with it. I spoke with him about the drain last night and I could tell he was upset with himself about it. Just kept saying “it’ll be something that looks fine”. I don’t care if there’s a drain pipe running to the bathroom along the wall, but apparently it bothers him! Lol

Floor heat is up and going! Still has to run a drain to the bathroom for the condensation from the heater. This really blind sided my builder. He has done numerous floor heat installs, but always uses an electric tank style water heater. This is the first he痴 done with a tankless propane heater, and he wasn稚 prepared for this.

Same heater I am using in the house. It works great, but as I advised previously it is VERY sensitive to hard water and you will only find out the hard way (excuse the pun) when the heat exchanger starts leaking...

Why the mixing valve on top of the pump? Only needed for boilers, not when using a tankless as the water temp is coming in at 120 from your tankless...

I'm curious - what sort of flows does the heater register when it is running? Just hit the info button 3 times to get flow.

He'll hafta run along the end wall, thru bathroom wall, to north shop wall, westward along north bathroom wall to bathroom west wall, then south along bathroom west wall to the sink drain plumbing where he'll tap in. All while having drainage slope. Yeah, he'll stress over that. :)

I think he’s actually going to add a pump and pump it into the sewer vent in the ceiling. Easier to take the panels off the bathroom ceiling I suppose.

Buddy let me borrow his IR thermometer at work to play around with. I’m having WAY to much fun with it!

That'll be interesting to see.

That's good flow - better than I have been able to get. You will want to check that periodically and if you see it drop off a lot, you either need to clean the inlet filter on the heater or recharge your pressure in the system.

I’ve had a winch for our Prowler sitting on the the floor of my office since the spring of 15 when I bought the Prowler, never got around to installing it until this eve. Worked in the shop from 6:00, and going on 5 hours.

Old school thermometer says it’s 62° in here. Feels much warmer, especially working and moving around.

Thermostat for the heat says it’s 68°, which is what I set it on this morning before work. It barely has any water in the bucket, which tells me it’s barely run all day, or my builder came by and dumped it sometime today. In the almost 5 hours I’ve been in here the heater has kicked on once and ran 5-10 minutes then kicked off. Still learning all about it, but I’m enjoying working in a T-shirt with the outside temp at 28°!
