Oil & Fuel 4110 Hyd filter problem

Hey Y'all,
Doing my 50 hr. service today and everything was going good 'till I went to screw the new hyd filter on. I noticed the filter was a little smaller than the original but so was the oil filter and it worked ok. NAPA #1381 oil & #1621
hyd. The 1621 has a smaller gasket and threaded hole in it than the stock one. My tractor is a 2009 model I bought new last year. Anyone have any idea what filter will fit this model ? Also,is the CarQuest 303 fluid ok ?

Your tractor is Mitsubishi built if I'm not mistaken, my 2001 model is a TYM built so the 1621 hydraulic filter may not fit yours but it is the correct one for mine. I have used the 1381 oil filter in a pinch but I prefer the 1324 - it is a larger filter and I assume has more filter media and it costs less than the 1381 if I remember right. Don't have a clue what Carquest 303 fluid is but most any standard trans/hydraulic fluid should be OK.

Mine is TYM also, with a Daedong 4A200 engine. Don't know why the filter is different. May have to get one from the dealer.
Someone on here posted that any utf that met the John Deere 300 spec was ok for Mahindra.

I've never been able to find the large cartridge suction filter in the aftermarket, have always had to get that from the dealer. I found it was easier to drop the whole housing & bracket assembly and seperate it to change the filter. It's a little heavy and awkward to get in & out from under the tractor but much better than trying to split it when in place. Also recommend removing the pickup screen filter in the very bottom of the trans case and cleaning it - this is where the largest particles collect and I was surprised at how much was in there the first time I serviced mine. This is a round plug-like housing that has one bolt thru a small ear on it. The screen is cylindrical and the housing seals with a captured "O"ring. It is in the very bottom of the trans case on the left side in my tractor.

My 4110 has a large spin on filter where the owners manual shows a cartridge
type. It looks like the 3510 illustration...gonna take the old one with me tomorrow and see if I can get one ordered.
The screen filter had some metal shavings and a couple of small pieces of clear plastic in it ...cleaned with Breaklean and dried with compressed air.

The later 4110's used the spin on filter like the 3510. If I am not mistaken I believe the Wix/Napa/Carquest filter for the hydraulic is arround $75.00 which is way more than the factory original.

From an earlier post I made (the 'wrong' filter is too small):

I agree with the filter change. Get it from the dealer, just easier that way and not much difference in price.

I also have 2004 3510. If you have the same filter setup I do, you will have a very large filter under the right footrest. MAKE SURE you get this larger filter.

WARNING: WIX LISTS THE WRONG FILTER on their website for this year/make/model.

I made that mistake already.
