4110 rockshaft valve replacement

The 3 pt hitch on my tractor was not functioning correctly. It would not raise itself at all. I pulled the valve out and redid all the seals. I just went to put it back in and it doesn't seem to want to slide back in. I don't want to force it and cause issues.a re there any hints from anyone who has done this before?

Did you lubricate the seals parts keys #17 & 18?

Yes, there is something mechanical stopping it from sliding in. I bought the tractor with the valve in a Rubbermaid container completely apart. I'm wondering if I should try to remove the scv control/ lever because I think I would have more space. Just didn't want to do that if I dint have to

Got it. It requires a push in, then a 90 deg rotation into place
