I bought one of these and reto-fitted it to my rops the first year I owned the 180. It worked pretty good, but the back was open to the elements, and the clear plastic would fog up!!
Yeah I've seen those.

I will be buying a regular soft cab with a zippered door or something along those lines. I wondered about the fogging. I know you can buy some spray on solutions that supposedly keep your windows from fogging. I may try that along with making a few vents.

I had my cab almost completely enclosed but, keep a few places to open and vent if need be. Never had a fogging issue but, was wondering about carbon monoxide build up which never turned out to be a problem, as long as the back was sealed off completely away from the exhaust.

You could put a little hydraulic cooler in there with a blower fan and presto, heated cab and window defogger. :)

Yeah...something like this ( combo heater & defogger ) works great!!! :p

Was there a thread on building your cab? I searched but could not find it.

No...I never posted a build thread. I posted pictures of the cab a few years ago under my old member name (beechwood). I have since sold the 180, but if anyone is interested in getting a few ideas for building a cab let me know and I will post the cab pictures in a new thread.

What does that run off of?

I bought the heater from Northern Hydraulics. It did a great job, but I could only run it for brief stints because of the amp. draw. Robin offers a 30 amp charging circuit to replace the stock 15 amp system, but as I remember it's an expensive item. I connected the heater directly to the battery via. a 30 amp in-line fused lead.

There must be 50 different versions of this with all different amp draws. Started to buy one but it stayed warm in my cab, so I really never needed it.

12 Volt Heater / Defroster

Yeah, I have one of those in an old pickup that the heater blower failed in. It didn't do a very good job at defrosting the window, but it did keep it defogged once I had the ice off of it.

A hydraulic cooler would only require a blower fan and not draw too much current.

How about an electric vest? I don't think they draw all that much.
