my problem with the mower was pushing it up hill with the arms in float, the tractor wants to ride up the arms and take the weight off the front wheels.... jim

I recall that conversation.

When mine's in float, I can run it up a 45 degree angle until the tractor tires start to spin. I do that on the sides of our remote property driveway when I mow the sides of the driveway cut from the highway. They are steep and about 8' tall. I can almost get to the top.

Took me a while, but here's the photos of the before and after of lawn mowing with my PT425, 60" rear discharge finish mower I think in 2002.

Not in those photos. That's my tabletop flat lawn.

I'll get some pictures of the 45 degree driveway cut next spring when I go out to cut brush.

I don't know any lawn mower that will even go up a 1 to 1 let alone mow it, you need tracks.....

The PT1850 is rated for 45 degrees, up, down, and across. That's nuts. I can't even walk up a 45 degree slope without using my hands to help.

First i would like to see it do it, but with someone else in the seat. second i want to see them keep oil to the engine. I know what a dozer will do on a 1 to 1 side ways and i sure don't see a rubber tired thing doing it on grass reliably.

There are videos out there. Also, there are members here on TBN that own them. No one has reported any issues with engine oiling after operating on slopes.
