Hello,

I guess I'm showing my ignorance with this post, but I need expert opinions. The photo shows the rear of my 4310. The red arrow is pointing to the two hydraulic couplings - does it, or do they have a special name? Is there any way that they can be used to run a hydraulic implement , or do they have to be added to get that functionality? Can they be used to add a 3rd function to my 4310 to run a grapple?

Right now I have hydraulics to only run a front JD snow blower. Looking to add hydraulics to maybe add a grapple or front hydraulic snow plow.

Any comments or offerings will be appreciated.

Those are your rear 3rd SCV connections, they are operated by the lever on your right fender.

Yes, you can have long hoses made and extend them to the loader to run a grapple, but you'll have to take your hand off of the joystick to open/close it. Not convenient, but functional.

Appears to me you have a 3rd SCV capability. What are your controls like ? A button on the joy stick? or another control lever in the cab?
More photos please.

kennyd beat me to it.. ;);)

I use mine to operate a thumb on the forks as well as re-plug to operate an hydraulic top arm on the 3ph.

Kennyd,

Can you explain this further - "Those are your rear 3rd SCV connections, they are operated by the lever on your right fender." Is the lever you mention the Selective Control Valve (SCV) Control Lever?

beenthere,
No controls in the cab and no joy stick button. Unless you are referring to the
Selective Control Valve (SCV) Control Lever?

I checked out the Summit web site and they have a universal 3rd function kit for my 4310 . . . will this work for me, or any other suggestions for a cleaner setup?

Thanks for your replies.

It's PM here, will do tomorrow; what specific areas in the cab do you want to see?

Thanks,

There is a lever next to the seat, I thought it was on the console like the 4300 series.

I have an entire website for taking dollars, LOL.

This lever is what controls those rear ports. Its the OEM rear 3rd SCV kit from John Deere.
