4410 leak

I have a 2003 4410 with 160 hours. Just recently I noticed a small amount of hydro fluid on the center pulley of my MMM. I saw small amounts of fluid on the plate above that covers the cavity where one of the hydro filters is located. I removed plate but couldn't tell where the fluid was coming from. I checked the filter and it wasn't loose. I clean it all up and ran it for a week and noticed fluid again. Not a lot.

I called the dealer and they sent service out. The service tech just called from my house and verified the leak. He cleaned the area and ran it a bit but couldn't detect the leak.

I'm going to monitor for awhile but I'm not sure how to proceed at this point. The dealer has noted the problem even though my warranty is good through next summer.

May need to be brought into the shop and split. Reseal and put back together.

I'm going to talk to the dealer about options and have them contact Deere to get there input. The service tech did say something about the transmission installation and sealing vs gaskets. My tractor has never been split to date. The tech did ask if it might have leaked more with the MMM installed. Not sure if he was thinking the weight of the MMM in that area.

My tractor at one time was taken in for a recall to replace the transmission. It was brought back as it didn't need the recall and was never touched. The recall kit had a replacement transmission and a tube of sealant??

While at the Dealer a few weeks back I walked up to a new 4410 and looked under. I noticed a small amount of hydro fluid on that plate where my unit leaks. The leak is not great and often is just droplets on that plate. Wondering if others might look for this issue to see if it might be a common problem?

I have seen a few of them, some never noticed by customers and taken care of at later dates. I don't think there is a gasket, just sealant. Once it's been done, I haven't seen one come back for that leak again, not yet at least.
You should end up with a full transmission service out of it, they might charge you for the filter if you want that changed also.

How about removing the MMM and placing newspaper under the tractor on the garage floor. See if this will help you locate the leak source. I have a 4300 and had a similar problem. Found it to be a valve drain that I had to close with a wrench to stop the very slow drip.

I have the leak isolated to an area but unable to zero in on it. I'm starting to think it might require the unit to be split and resealed.

If the leak is real small maybe you should just let it be. They could cause more problems by fixing it.

The leak is small but I have a MMM. I find the fluid on the center pulley on the MMM. I don't want the fluid getting on the MMM belt. Since I have warranty I think I will keep at the dealer until it gets fixed correctly.
