We're considering a 4720 could go into more detail on this issue? Are saying
it's a Cat. 1 tractor with too much power for Cat. 1 implements?
Thanks

If you choose the right implements the problem is minimized, buy a heavy duty rearblade instead of a light one intended for a 30 hp tractor, a little judgement is required. The 4720 is a powerful yet still compact tractor and is a good choice if you need more pto hp. Other than that unless you have steep grades and or hills to climb often the 4120 will do about the same jobs.

I had a higher end cat 1 blade that the 4520 tore apart when the tip of the blade caught an abandoned steel water line. I didn't even notice it until I looked back and saw the blade in the dirt. Then I caught an old stump with a box blade and tweeked it badly (I did notice that one). So far the cat1-2 stuff is holding up well. If you treat them nice and look at the jobs, you should be able to use most cat 1. I tend to use all the HP the tractor can provide. Current blade is a six way landpride RBT 4084, so far no stress problems.
