Yep...whether you pick it up or have it delivered, the freight is always the same. Dealers near the distribution point are typically the most opposed to this practice. However, it does make for an even playing field.

UPDATE: 4530 is well again. Thank you all for all your posts and suggestions. all is appreciated. A special thank you to the Doctor that emailed me with the right medication and procedure.
That being said, I called local dealer and left voice mail twice to schedule an appointment to get the tractor fixed... but no return calls... Thats all I"m going to say about my local dealer. I just wonder about those Mahindra owners that move out of state and need their equipment serviced by another dealer.... I'm saddened for those of us Mahindra owners that suffer the wrath of bad customer service just because equipment wasn't purchased at their site. But I believe what goes around comes arround... I'm Just glad my tractor is functioning.... Once again thank you all for your replies

Oh by the way the timing was the culpret... advanced timing about 1/16 of an inch... and whola sputtering stopped and power is back.. tractor feels and sounds better than the first day it was delivered.
I can see the local dealers point. We see it every day, someone thinks they are saving big bucks by buying out of the area and not dealing with the local guy, then expecting him to take the beating of after the sale support when he did'nt make a profit on it. my suggestion is to take the tractor back to the selling dealer and smile all the way back to him for service the same way that you smiled on the way home after making the sweet deal.

If this was a GM truck or car and a dealer said he won't service the vehicle under warranty because you didn't buy from him, just how long do think he would continue to have a dealership!
If Mahindra will not back up their warranty program, then why even offer one with their tractors? This is not the way to build a loyal customer base. You should be able to take it to any dealer for service...period!!!

Under Mahindra's warranty specifications if you live over 75 miles away from the dealer you purchased it from you can take it to any dealer for warranty work.
Turning away a Mahindra owner that needs warranty work done is bad business, you are turning away a potential customer and making your dealership look bad.
