4530 toolbox????

Does anyone with a 4530 have a toolbox? Mine don't have one although the manual mentions it. The backhoe install guide talks about removing it and mounting it in a new location. Maybe they left it off. If not, where did ya mount one?? thanks

The factory location is on the right side frame just behind the front tire. Can't miss it if it's there - rectangular gray box sticking out for everything to grab on. I don't have a hoe, but I am thinking about removing or relocating mine. Just a matter of time before something hangs on it and rips it off. They probably left it off when they installed your backhoe. I would call them and ask for it or a replacement. If the dealership is friendly enough they shouldn't question you at all. Otherwise, my opinion of it is not that impressive. Something else to rust out from moisture over time and in a really bad location. But, you did pay for it so you may as well get it.

Make sure you tell the dealer you want the "tool kit" that was in the tool box as well. I figure the tools were worth $50-75 anyway. They come in a sort of a canvas bag in the tool box (unless they stopped doing that for cost sake). I had to take mine off as well when I put on the BH subframe. I picked up a 20MM ammo can and mounted it in front of the grill guard. Holds all the tools, 2 1/2 hammer, 20 feet of chain, a bunch of bolts, pins, pliers, etc and still have room for a six pack....BobG in VA who also painted it red....

Thanks for the replys. Had a message on the machine when I got home this evening. Dealer said he found my toolbox, tools, and old subframe. Said the subframe was worth something just cuase metal prices are so high. Was nice of him to call since I hadn't even called him yet. Said he had some other stuff he would give me too.
