46BH question

Hello everyone,
I have a brand new 2520 with a 46BH and I have a question for everyone. From time to time, I can hear and feel a light banging noise coming from where the 2 power beyond hoses connect with the 2 main hydraulic lines that power the BH. You can also feel it while sitting in the seat- like someone it tapping the seat mount with a hammer. This only happens while using the backhoe functions. Is this normal?

Can you repeat it regularly enough to actually watch the hoses when it happens? It could just be that the tractor's jerking around and the connectors (or something else) are smacking against the seat.

Can't really repeat it. It just happens from time to time. It usually doesn't last more than a few minutes. As for the tractor jerking around being the cause, I doubt it because I've heard the noise when the tractor is sitting there motionless with the engine running.

You can try securing the connectors with a zip tie just to rule them out. About the only other thing I can think of is to make sure your subframe is mounted correctly. Beyond that, perhaps air in the hydro lines? I'll let the more experienced among us comment on the more esoteric possibilities.

I find that there is a slight movement of the hoe frame on the subframe pins as the hoe is used. This might cause an audible noise but in my case the hoses and connectors tend to bounce around as the pressure spikes.They may only move 1/2" but if they hit the seat bottom you notice it....There is also the noise made when the various hoe members reach the end of their strokes but this can be repeated and identified.
