4707

Holy smokes, my local dealers; two of them within 50 miles of me, both quoted me a ridiculous number compared to what you paid. And this was for just the deluxe cab, 931x loader, visio roof, and 3rd function. Both quoted me over 50k, before 6% sales tax, and neither were coming off from it. They proclaimed their pricing was the best that they could do. I was also shopping for some implements, so they were going to earn that business, but honestly they seemed to care less if I purchased anything from them.

It has left me searching for an alternative to the 4707, which there is nothing of the sorts in my opinion that compares to what the Massey offers me personally in terms of overall ergonomics for my size frame, it just fits me like a glove.

I just can't justify spending that kind of money for my needs, but I would be a buyer all day long at the price you paid, especially considering how well equipped your tractor is...

I didn't want to press the issue to much with them, because I am more than willing to hitch up the wagon and drag one home from out of state if need be. I would however still need to rely on the local guy for any warranty repairs in the future should the need arise, so I am not looking to burn any bridges, but obviously they aren't trying very hard to build one either.
Where do you live? I am in Pa. There is also a $400 rebate if you buy a Woods implement at time of purchase. The price I got was after the dealer got some help from AGCO. I was like you and really wanted the Massey, But Case/NH and Kubota had low interest rates. So I told the dealer that they really need to sweeten the deal in order to get competitive. He agreed and said AGCO wants to be number one and is sharpening their pencil. So my advice is to ask dealer to ask AGCO for some help.

Western Michigan, and neither dealer seemed real interested in investing much time to help me in any way. Truthfully they both seemed like it was an inconvenience for them to sell me a tractor, but I might just stroll back in there and tell them what I'm willing to pay and see what happens, they will more than likely just laugh at me. If that's the case I'll just start hitting up every dealership within 1,000 miles and see if I can't find one that wants my business.

I seen that Swiderski had pretty good advertised pricing on one a while back, so they are definitely on my short list to make contact with. I'm just glad to hear that there are a few members here now that are running the 4707, and all of you seem very pleased with your purchase....

With you being in Michigan, you may want the block heater added. These 4700 tractors are programmed where if they are cold they only get about half power until they start to warm up a little. They start fine in cold weather, but at reduced power. With a block heater, you would get full power quickly. Another thing about the 4707, you can get them tuned up to 100hp for about $1800. Pretty slick

Not certain I would ever have a need for more hp, but then again not many things that I have ever owned remained stock for long..... I would've thought it only requires putting a new tune to it, but that shouldn't cost $1800, so what else is involved?

It's the tune. They come to you, dyno the stock setup, and tune it on the dyno. Cheap horsepower

I've had quotes from low 40s to over 50 for the same tractor (no visio no 3rd)..pretty annoying to be honest but such is life. One guy got very peeved when I mentioned finding a dealer who sells it for 5k less than him & was there nothing he could do. He said it's because of warranty repairs blah blah. Needless to say I just walked out and didn't waste anymore time. One dealer out of state quoted 45,500 delivered 1,000 miles away..but then again this was without the upgrades Bigpuddie has.

I'm close to pulling the trigger on the 4707 with a dealer if I can get the numbers to work. JD's 0 financing sure is hard to pass up, but the MF at a decent price is worth the extra since it's more like a JD-M.

Who can you contact to do it? I wonder what the fuel consumption would change to. I don't think I'd need it now, just maybe in future if doing round bales would be nice. This is good info to know.

Ekotuning has it for the 4700, though it does not show it on their website. In Pa, the Dealer is Lewis Nolt
