4707

   / 4707 #201
Thanks, I looked at a bb72 today. Trying to find a bb840x for a good price now. It has taken a while to find a 4707 with the viso but I think I’ll have one by Thursday to pull that 1800 lb beast of a rotary.

I just ordered a bb840x with a 4707 non Visio. The bb840x is built like a tank. Looks like a great mower.

Those of you who have had your steering stops adjusted would you mind taking a quick picture? I haven’t adjusted mine and am curious where you all ended up. I posted to another thread..so disregard if you posted there. Seems Iike a few here and there aren’t on same thread

there aren稚 on same thread

well there's an example of "not being on the same page..." ;)
Mine were adjusted, will take pics later today, issue of clearance with
tires

I've been cultivating with my 1956 Farmall and all I can think of is
sure wish I was in the big Massey's seat, just can't get enough of that nice comfortable seat.
I need to go through there with a damp towel and wipe everything down, had it long enough it's getting
its first layer of crud on it. Remarkable how much dirt can pile up behind the seat where many of us have things
stored.

Might have mine out today mowing roadsides. 86 degrees and bright sun this afternoon.
Good test for the a/c and the visioroof.
The views I get through that glass ceiling are nice. But if I didn't have an elevated man bucket,
which because of all my tree trimming I need, the roof shade would stay shut, plus I bet the tractor without the
glass panel is a tiny bit quieter. However, it is kinda cool to just be able to look up.
I would think it would cover over pretty quickly in snow though, unless it stayed warm enough from cab heat.
Not my reality but those up North report on back how the winter goes with that glass roof.
Really is a feature of this tractor, Agco actually scooped the market here at this price point.
that plus a buddy seat and a full size utility frame for under fifty grand.

Am still in hunt for Nokian TRI 2's. Get some good road tires on my 4707 and I might try a higher gear.
I go too fast in that thing and all I do is scare myself, twitchy steering, feeling of out of control.
Then you slow down to the speed you should have been at and enjoy the ride.
We seem to be trying to catch up with the Fendts of this world that drive smoothly and very fast on the roads, assuming they weren't pulling anything, which of course is normal. The Germans do like their speed...

Regarding the stops, use the bucket to elevate the front tires off the ground several inches, then turn wheels left to right and check clearance while articulating the axle up and down by hand. Adjust the stops in a few turns and recheck by turning stop to stop and articulating. This Is done easiest with someone to help by steering while you adjust. You should have 1/2" clearance at full stop with full articulation.

In Texas we tint our sunroofs and windows with ceramic tint to provide max heat rejection and it helps. I am hoping to tint all the widows in the 4707 if costs permits. As I get older I am shocked at how many guys my age and older are having pre cancerous stuff cut off so max UV window protection is on my list. I am even doing yard work with light weight long sleeve fishing shirts I get at Sams Club.

did get some mowing done, but very bright out, left shade up, a/c worked fine on 2nd speed.

After turning my steering wheel all the way, it bounces back a few inches. So the wheels actually turn in a bit further than
these pictures.

Thank you. That’s where I was wondering, on that bolt. It doesn’t look that different from memory but I’ll check it out later. I did some work in the fields and while other tires would be nice it was much much better than this winter.

while you sure don't want the tire to rub, I'll take the tightest turning circle I can get.
Though in 4wd tends to chew things up but in a field who cares.
All these pics look pretty similar. Based on different tire types, I can see why you have to do this, and the dealer said they
already did it to mine. I had them do it twice...
