4707

well that's interesting, for sure...no, I never take it out of gear, enter the barn 1 or 2 Low, and put the parking brake on.
Hmmmm.
I still don't think this situation is right, do other brands do this?

am using the tractor and Long grapple this morning to help a neighbor clean up a big oak tree that went down.
I'll take it out of gear first, then try it.
This will also test lifting capacity of tractor, first time for something really heavy to pick up.
Have filled tires and a big mower on the back, should be a good test. I was always disappointed with my previous L5740's lift, hope
this will be significantly better.

THANKS for suggestions!

started tractor with gear shift in neutral. Nothing...

play date with neighbor's tree called off, another friend showed up with a smaller JD with grapple
that would wreck his lawn less, made sense

I’ve got an E 18 and a 94 code coming up on my tractor. Anyone else had these codes? The dealer doesn’t know and hasn’t been able to find out for several days. The 94 appears to be a fuel issue but the 18 I can’t find any info on.

I'm sorry, how can a Massey Ferguson dealer NOT know what an error code is?
And how can dealer support not know when he calls them?
Worrisome. My dealer knows nothing too...

started my tractor again making sure trans lever in neutral. No jerking.
Must be only if left in gear with PS control in neutral

Ive called both local dealers and neither of them seem to have any clue. I was able to get more info off google than from them. I called Agco support and they got ahold of the dealer... dealer finally calls me back and says they still don't know. Their recommendations were to drain the water from my fuel filter (they said that's a regular maintenance on these) and to check my operators manual.

Call M.M. Weaver in Leola, Pa. They know their stuff. Top notch service department. They are also a Fendt and Challenger dealer.

I’ll do that from now on. Thanks.

Talked to the dealer just a minute ago. They told me the code reads E 18 94 but it’s actually 09418. It’s a rail pressure issue and the solution is to change the fuel filter. They recommended every 2-300 hours. I’m just a over 300 hours now. This morning I had another code pop up that’s reads E 31 94 so I’m going to look at that as well. I’m sure it’s related.

Daugen, glad you solved it. I do the same as you but now I will take it out of gear before I stop or start it. Thanks.

Josh, thats some crazy deciphering going on. I wonder if some auto code reader would work to give the real codes. Also I guess the dealer needed to use a code reader to get the real code.

Been following this thread and look at these tractors for a while, thanks for all the great info. My father and I (pretty much my dad, I'm helping as I can) just bought a 4707 this weekend. We ordered the wheel weights, loader suspension, and a couple other small things so we won't get it for a couple weeks. I wanted to bring up something that caught me off guard, this tractor is not made in CHINA... This tractor is made in Brazil, not sure if this is a good thing or not, but our tractor is made in Brazil! There is a video out on this from Varenburg Implements on youtube, it wouldn't let me post a link as this is my first post! I can assure you it's real though, our tractor specifically says county or origin "Brazil" on the back of it.

Only recently they have been coming from Brazil, before that all of them here were coming in from china, and I bet after the tariffs go off, they will resume bringing them in from china.

Got the tractor fixed! Long story short it took 4 dealerships and A LOT of driving to get some help. The dealer plugged the tractor to the computer, said it needed everything updated. He thought that would fix it. It didn't. I drove a couple hours to a dealer that actually had the fuel filters (no dealers in my area had them???) and that solved the problem. Tractor is running great again. Book says change fuel filters at 500 hours.... evidently it should say 300 hours! (probably more like 250 when I did my oil)

that's a real surprise about Brazil.
Well, my new Audi was built in Mexico. Way of the world now...
Just surprised this model and the 5's and 6's would be made outside of that new Chinese plant.
AGCO Rationalizes European Production Facilities; Plans to Close Coventry, UK Plant | AGCO

The real loser here is England, losing a long standing tractor plant. Looks like a big operation in Brazil.

Third try on starting with tractor in true neutral, no jerking at cold idle. That seems to be the issue, full neutral on starting.
looks like I should stock up on fuel filters.

Must be a good filter, the better (finer, cleaner filtration) the filter the faster they will plug or restrict fuel flow.

I'm trying to close a deal on a 2019 4707 that was manufactured in February 2019 and it too was manufactured in Brazil. I hope that's not a bad thing. China is certainly not my choice manufacturing nation but I know little about Brazil manufacturing. China's plant certainly seemed to have a learning curve that seemed to have worked itself out. I hope the Brazil factories have already worked those issues out since they've been manufacturing the 5 and 6 series tractors for a few years.

The first dealer I delt with tried telling me his 2018 4707 would be 5k less than a 2019. His price was 50k for the 2018 Deluxe cab with visio roof and air seat. It also had a 931x loader. I felt like he was BSing me to get me to buy his year old model. In the end that was the case.

Got my local MF dealer to agree to 49,750 on a 2019 Deluxe cab with air seat, visio roof, 931x fel, Rimguard filled tires, radio, 3rd function installed, 12.4/24" front Trellborgs and 16.9/30" rear Trellborgs. PTO is 540/540e.

Dealer has to pick it up so it may be a few days until I can drive it and close the deal. I've driven one already and really liked the power shuttle, clutch button and cab configuration. I was comparing it in the end with the Case 75c. The weight, an extra ton, and the standard features sold me on the 4707. Grappling logs with this tractor will be so much better.

They moved manufacturing to Brazil to get around tariff issues for tractors bound for North and South America. Quality is still excellent

Well it caught me off guard as I hadn't heard the first word anywhere about the 4700 being made anywhere but China. Quality looked great. We passed on the Visio roof, figured it would be easier to heat and cool and stronger.

They are essentially the same tractor - the parts are 100% interchangeable between Brazil built and China built tractors. I suppose factory sourcing of some of the parts might be different between the countries but all the parts still need to match the same blueprints.

Tractor came in today. The 2019 visio roof has a 1/4" steel grate over the visio roof. The 2018 I drove did not have a visio roof but I did not realize the visio roof came with this grill gard style protection over the window.

Is this new or do other models have this on the visio roof as well? I know it did not come on the Case 75C visio roof.
