4707

Congrats on your tractor. Did they have it in stock when you went to buy it or did you have to wait? If you waited, how long was the wait?

Nice tractor, I'm sure you'll get many years of enjoyment out of it.

Congrats on the tractor. I've got the FL3615 loader too and it's pretty darn good for a farm tractor loader.

Hi All,
Been lurking here for awhile as I have been considering an upgrade to a 4707... Previously was running an IH 1086, and a JD 3020 gasser, I REALLY disliked the both of them.

I was able to find a new 4707 on a lot a couple hours away, I really wanted the 3615 loader, and they seemed tough to find on the 4707, this one has that, and the Dyna 2. Score.

I've only put about 5hrs on the tractor. So far I really enjoy it, but I'm having hard time smoothly taking off with the clutch primarily in Low 1 and Low 2. SEEMS like it gets better and is smooth in higher gears, but I haven't played with it a ton. No matter how easy I am in Low 1 it just feels like its banging into gear. Most of the hrs on the machine are blowing snow, and banging into gear makes it really tough when trying to ease into deep snow and drifts with the blower. It is smooth using the reverser without the clutch.

Anyone else experience this? I know there are couple youtube videos about it, but not sure if the guy ever did get it resolved.

I just watched the youtube video about it. He has the solution in Part 2. From what he said, and demonstrated, it's a simple calibration that the dealer should have done. He shows what the process is in the video.

Yes, I tried the procedure like he showed in the video and have gotten no buzzer or beep to confirm the calibration is happening. I've sent an email to DLH, the guy mentioned in the video to see if he can send over the procedure that he received from Massey.

Please keep us updated. I have no idea when mine will arrive, but I feel it's good to know as much as possible if there is an issue.

OK, my dealer sent out a mechanic to figure out the problem(s) with my 3pt hitch. He was out here for two hours and saw that it wasn't working properly, but couldn't fix it. Stay tuned.

Seems there are/were too many of us with 3 pt hitch issues that something is not off here.
It could be an adjustment the dealers aren't properly trained on.
Massey Ferguson, how about a training video on how to use your 4700 series hydraulics?
I always figured my issues were operator error. Maybe not.

I know there’s some other posts in here about LEDs, thought I would share what I did.

I went with Vision X, VL 8 LED Ovals. PN# 9911274. They are very high quality lights. I got them on sale for under $55 each. There are cheaper options but Vision X ranks up there with Rigid and Baja Designs when it comes to quality and output.

They bolted right up, but I had to shim the front cab lights down with a couple washers, those two lights are very close 1/8”-1/4” from both the windshield and the plastic shroud around the bottom of the roof.

Very happy with the output and beam pattern.

They also make a 9 LED round light that would work on the loader bracket lights if a guy wanted a little more light there. I probably would have gone that route, but noticed them after I had these installed. Can never have too much light.

The LED's look nice. Are the factory lights really that bad?

   / 4707 #432
Honestly I never even tried them, other than in the shed before I installed these. I’m sure they are fine.

I’ve gotten used to LEDs on most of the stuff I own, and it’s just tough to use halogens now. Testing out different LEDs is also becoming a bit of an addiction for me.

I just bought a kit from Amazon for my backhoe. It has one original light that still works on it, and sometimes it's dark when I get home, and I need more light to put a hay bale out for my horses and goats.

I bought this one from Amazon based on reviews. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YXSX7K8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

If there is a significant difference, I might do the same when my 4707 arrives.

The factory halogen lights are plenty bright but there's just something about the allure of LED's for most of us. I mow well after dark all the time and I find myself not using the loader lights at all because the headlights and cablights are that good. I would like to upgrade the rear work lights though. I want more of a flood light to cover the 15' bat wing better.

Anyone else find that the power in the radio harness is not wired to ignition power?

Just installed a plug and play Jensen radio, and its always on, even with the key off. Thankfully you can turn the "power" off on the radio, but the screen is still backlit, and shows the time.

Just ran the tractor again for the first time since this post. New issues- clatter and trouble code with the pto engaged, d 11 516433, along with with the transmission filter blockage indicator light. Also started to get a somewhat harsh clunk either when the clutch is 90% released or a few seconds after being fully released and on the move.

I’ll get a tech out and see whats up I guess.

Who is your dealer?
Ziegler Cat.

Hopefully they are able to figure it out, the salesman acted like this was the first 4700 he had sold, and I think he’s been at that location for awhile… therefore I’m guessing the service department at that location doesn’t have much experience with them.

Interesting, I am curious as to how this gets resolved.

The only issue I've had is the 3pt hitch control. It's still not fixed. Other than that, everything is good.
