4720 Engine Oil

I currently use Mobil 1 10W-30W in my (2010) 4720. Mike told me I should use Mobil 1 turbo diesel truck 5W-40 fully synthetic motor oil. I've researched it and it looks like it is the right selection for my 4720. Does everyone agree?

Yep... definitely! I use Mobil 1 turbo diesel in my tractors (as well as JD 0W-40 synthetic) as it is formulated for diesel engines.

Diesels are "dirtier" than gas engines. The detergents and other components required to keep your turboed, 4720 happily working are a vital part of the Mobil 1 turbo diesel formula.

Agreed. I would NOT use a motor oil in a diesel engine that is not specifically rated for a diesel engine.
