It will be interesting how long that 3550 lasts behind the cummins. I have the same tranny in my wrangler and it has done very well with 113,000 on it so far but your cummins is going to be putting out a lot more torque than my little I6 gasser. Any plans for swapping it out in the future? A NV4500 maybe?

Agreed, it will be interesting, if it should fail it's pretty easy to put a 4500 in

The specs for the NV3550 say it's good for 300 ft lbs. And the torque for a stock Cummins 4bt is right there around 300. So if you turn up the wick on the Cummins you may run into trouble. But with this lighter weight vehicle it should last long enough to save up for a NV4500.

Looks good, did you do anything to prep the case?

I used a brass rotary wired brush in the drill to knockoff a lot of scaling and used shop air to blow the dust off and brushed on the por15
