Re: 5 PTO Tiller for 25HP Tractor. 19HP to PTO
Buy one that covers the tractor treads.
I run a 6 footer with a 26hp. Kioti with no issues. I ran a 50 inch for many years because the dealer told me my machine wouldn't handle anything bigger, he was wrong.
So here's the deal and I think most guys on here would agree. Buy a big tiller, maybe bigger than your machine will handle. When your machine won't handle the new too big of a tiller you just bought you go into the kitchen and asks the wife, whoops you TELL the wife you needs a bigger tractor.
Around 3 days after she throws the loaf of bread at you in the kitchen she'll start to come around, at that time maybe discuss how the 2 of you are going to pay for the new machine.
Maybe throw in a, "but honey you wanted a bigger lawn!"
Then duck for cover.
Sometimes taking the advise from others works, sometimes it doesn't. In my life I've started to make my own determinations. Maybe you have a neighbor with a 6 footer you can "try" your machine with.
Whatever size you choose buy one that covers the tracks especially if you are tearing up your lawn. By the way dragging a log behind the tiller while prepping a new lawn works fairly well.
