Since I made the same mistake.....:D

There are diesel fuel nozzles meant for big rigs and ones meant for cars and trucks. The ones meant for cars and trucks fit in the yellow cans just fine.

True but the nozzle where I get my off road diesel was big. The only thing dumber than making a yellow (diesel) can that wont except a diesel nozzle is BUYING a diesel can that wont except a diesel nozzle.

This is like a double post. Yellow cans and Wally World. Can't use my no-spill cans without a funnel, maybe there childproof? My understanding about Wally is that they really don't provide for their workers as much as other large employers do. So if one spouse works for Wally and another works elsewere
and the second spouses' employer offers health care, they carry the first spouse. Wally does not step up to the plate for bennies is what I understand. Greg

I don't believe anyone is forcing people to work for Wal*Mart -- even if what you are saying is true.

The entire issue of WALMART, what they do or don't do for employees, who they buy from, and how they run their business is totally, completely absurd IMHO.

People raise cain if they're not the cheapest. Yet they expect Wally to pay wages in line with a fortune 500 CEO. They grumble if Wally sells "foriegn made products", yet they own a Kioti.

If you DON'T like WALLY, don't shop there. If you don't mind WALLY, shop there IF you want, but again, no one is forcing anyone to shop there. If you appreciate a successful businessman, and how WALLY got to this point, well, shop there if you want, or.....

I sincerly doubt WALLY will shut his doors just because some people are opposed to his ways. I doubt people will quit applying for jobs there, 'cause some folks have a tough time finding work.

I'm not on WALLY'S preferred shoppers list myself. I'm probably not cut out to be a WALLYWORLD greeter, But I do admire WALLY for what he's done in the business world.

Me too. The mega stores have put countless mom&pops out of business. They also put tremendous pressure on the makers of these products. I bet Walmart pays the maker of the Yellow fuel cans $6 less per container than TSC. And if the maker doesn't already manufacture these things in China, they are considering the move, in part due to the demands of Mega-Mart.

And someday soon when Walmart is the only store standing....

UMMM TSC is sort of a mega store chain too and sells lots of Chinese stuff. I don't really see any difference except TSC sells more neat stuff than wally world :) ie tractor and farm related stuff.

We are one of the few, if not the only industrialized nation in the world that does not have socialized medicine. Our current tread is for private insurance. Many small companys offer health care to their employees. Any company that posts profits as grand as these, should take better care of the people who helped get them there. It seems to me the employees are just another part to squeeze as much out of as possible. As was stated in an earlier reply to this post - Someone will take there place-. Greg

I see our country as it is. There are a few problems with the way we operate. BUT.... I don't feel any rush to be "like" any other indutrialized nations, just for the sake of being like someone else. I can't think of any country that I'd want to relocate to because of their economy.

I work for a company that takes BETTER care of their employees than "industry standards" (Construction/general contractor). We struggle to remain competitive against companies that aren't so liberal with employee benifits. My thoughts are, I'd rather have a job, stay busy, and pay my own way if I need to, than be drawing unemployment off an account of a company known for great benifits. It's a grand compromise. My point? Most WALMART employees would rather have extrordinary insurance benifits, but they don't. Instead, they have a job that might not even be there if the company (WALMART) paid for all their insurance.

Low-price retail merchandise sales probably won't ever pay great big wages. It probably won't offer great benifits. But it's more'n likely better than nothing to some people who would have NOTHING without that paultry check.

Seems to me wherever you buy the yellow plastic cans they are the same junk, Small hole for filling, spout breaks easily. If you buy off road you better be careful, they will spray out if you are not. As for Wally, people complain if they can't get benifits from them and the way they are treated, but if one of the UAW people talk about their bennies, and they way they have fought for theirs, everybody jumps all over them for ruining the country with high wages. damed if you do and damed if you don't. WalMart is just ahead of its time. Soon everyone will be treated like crap and everyones bennies will suck. I dont know of one example of a company offering more to their employees than they did previously. You may get a $1000 dollar raise this year but your insurance just went up $1200. You get another week vacation but they shorten your lunch break. Wally World is just cutting edge, thats all.

I look out for #1. I won't pay $7.00 for a quart of Power Service Diesel additive at Checker Auto when Wally World sells a gallon jug for $8.00.
