50 hour service at 35 hours?

Sorry if I missed this but how will you be storing your tractor this winter?

I have a brand new B7800 and like my other tractors it has been condemned to a life of luxury. Heated and AC garage-heck I even have good stereo and TV so he does not get bored (actually it is parked in my home office). My point is if it is parked at STP then acid should not build up in excessively corrosive concentrations over a 3 or 4 month period.

I suspect the professional mechanics or MEs would say realistically it is 50 hours +/- 15 so we are probably worried about mice nuts. They are probably laughing at us

Don't throw your money out......do the 50hr when it's scheduled. I actually did the "50 hr service" on my BX2200 @100hrs...........these are rugged tractors....no need to "tuck them in".

This chestnut comes up every time an early oil change question is posted.

AFAIK there have been NO posts with a definitive answer by someone who actually knows. But that does not stop the endless speculation on both sides of the early oil change discussion

FWIW I'd love to be proved wrong. If we have a factory rep online, please just post one way or the other

But what is "break in oil"? Oil with lime, sand in it, something to "seat" everything in? Ok not really.

If it does exist, it might just be regular oil but a lighter/heavier weight. The new engines I installed were empty and we put in the oil, straight from a 55 gallon drum. I think the Kubotas are mostly assembled in Japan and shipped over(I've seen the crates in the back of the dealers on the smaller tractors). So the dealer could answer this question.
