Taking the plastic shroud off that holds the ignition switch helped me get to the back hose connection. I think Ill cut the ty-rap holding the hoses together so that i can pull them back out of the way one at a time. I left the 4 bolts holding PSU to bracket for last but may have to take them out and push PSU down to get access to center hose.

Sounds good. I wonder how much difference there is between the two tractors? I didn't see a ty-rap, but I didn't look that good. I only removed the center, lower dash cover for access. It was tight working, but doable. The bracket that holds the center, lower dash in place should have been removable instead of being welded. That would have help a bunch. I'll start taking picture soon and post them. Have fun! Ha!

Since I've done this a few times, it's a whole lot easier to disconnect/connect hoses if you remove the HSU & "tilt" bracket together (less of a fight).

I couldnt figure out how to do that. Ill look more closely. Hated to take out small bolts that might be hard to get back in

Thanks DirtHauler. I tried that, but had problems with wrench swing. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance. I was afraid if I didn't used two wrenches, one to hold the fitting and the other to loosen the hose end, I may have other issues. It came apart OK, but going back together will be harder I figure. It always seems like that. That welded bracket that the lower, center plastic dash panel bolts to was right in the way, no matter what I did. I was ready to grind it off, drill it and install a bolt. Sharp ends. I filed the corners.

I took several measurements for the PS unit. The shaft measures .865" at the sealing surface. The cut out in the inner part of the main housing, where the quad ring fits into, measures 1.127" across and a depth of .149". The dust seal fit measures 1.177" across. I didn't measure the dust seal since it has size numbers. It did fit well. The quad ring measures .137" in height and from .125" to .135" thickness. The quad ring shows some wear on the shaft seal area and it has grown/expanded or it was too large to begin with. It does not fit the shaft, it's loose and it will not fit into the cut out inside the main housing, the seal is too large. There are three O-rings, all the same size, used in the housing, measuring .072" thickness, crushed. The grooves for theses O-rings measure 2.739" outer diameter and 2.555" inner diameter. These grooves where difficult to measure. There are four O-rings, all the same size, that fit into the hose fittings that are on the end cap that measure .065" thick, crushed. The grooves these O-rings fit into measures .430" outer diameter and .250" inner diameter. Also difficult to get an accurate reading. The only leak on the PS unit was at the shaft seal.

Actually, with the main plastic shroud loose, I could see the bolts pretty well so took them all out and made more room. I needed it because two of the hoses had lost their swivel-ability. Needed 11/16 to hold the nut on Psu fitting, 3/4 for the hose nut and a 19 mm to keep the hose from twisting until it free itself.
Per dirt haulers instructions I need to remove the housing while holding the shaft in position. Thinking about how to do that

I ordered the orbitrol valve $1100+ I was wondering about how to get the oil seal out. The bearing parts fell out. Then the oil seal fell out overnight but I have zero confidence that I can get this thing back together. Maybe this spring Ill give it a try.

I can't blame you for going that route. I reposted the pictures I took, since the first pics didn't attach correctly. Maybe these can help. The inner seal, quad ring, is the problem. If the seal company can't find a substitute seal for the quad ring seal, this unit will leak again. I wish I knew what SINJIN did on the 002 units that are different than the 001 units, like the one I have. I would bet they improved the seals. I'll contact a few seal companies, send them pictures and the measurements. I want their advice with seal selection. I'll repost their info when I get it.

Im hoping -2 haa an improved oil seal, too. My tax refund will have to pay for it.
