Well, I broke down, lifted my cattle scales out of the chute and got them onto concrete slab for equipment shed that is being built. Their max is 2500 lbs, so couldn't weigh tractor.
Here is all I know now about the weights of Kubota implements and the stuff I carry with me. More answers, but yet, questions remain! I identify weight source as measured, from specialist, or manual. Agreed, there is both more and less here than needed to solve the basic question... what does a bare L5030HSTC weigh? I have talked to my ag dealer and he'll weigh the thing for free... all I have to do now is load the tractor sans implements on trailer and take it to his weigh station...unload, weigh. Then do math to figure out my actual tractor + implements operational weight. That may not happen until after my turkey hunt this weekend.
a. 424 lbs measured 72” L2240 round back skid steer heavy duty bucket ( manual says 322 lbs). Specialist says shipping wt is 396 lbs, including 1”X3” planks for shipping.
b. 50 lbs quick attach, L2232A, best estimate from Kubota specialist.
c. 139 lbs measured John Deere toothbar. Note I don’t have the optional edge, 45 lbs says Kubota specialist, because it is exclusive with the toothbar.
d. 206 lbs measured Kubota QA hay spike.
e. 52 LBS measured for long hay spike boom only.
f. 1157 lbs LA 853 FEL & frame says manual (1186lbs is shipping wt. including grill guard, under tractor frame, no hyd fluid, no QAttach coupler, says specialist )
g. 15 lbs for 2 short pipes inserted into FEL QA pivot point crossbar.
h. 24 lbs for 2 short axles inserted into FEL QA pivot point crossbar. Long axles are 29 lbs for two.
i. 10 lbs front bumper, my estimate, I had welded on.
j. 80 lbs 1 front weight, measured.
k. 48 lbs for 2 round PVC pipes inserted into FEL large cross brace pipe for holding chain and 2 20 ft logging chains.
l. 100 lbs estimated additional on board load (chains, diesel = 7.1 lbs*10 gal, tools, etc.)
m. 4090 lbs (HSTC) from the manual: L 5030HSTC tractor, 4wd, cabin integrated ROPS. Plate under seat talking about ROPS says 4638 lbs reference weight, which Kubota specialist suspects means what the ROPS is qualified for, not weight of tractor. Shipping wt of HSTC tractor is 3540 lbs without tires or rims says specialist. I have been unable to get a better definition of what reference weight actually means.
n. 200 lbs, operator, measured
o. 1030 lbs rear tire fluids, 515lbs each, liquid filled, says manual.
p. 833 lbs 3PH hay fork + carry all + Pat’s system + typical tool box load + 2 bolted in weights, measured
q. 593 lbs extra weight, (measured) (3*80 weights + (218 + 105 concrete weights + 30 bucket of rocks) on rear platform for heavy FEL load.
Dargo, my math, using best info so far, says:
7316 total less
4090 lbs
L5030 assumed to include tires, rims, fluids + 1157 lbs LA 853 FEL frame, grill guard + 424 lbs QA bucket, 72" heavy duty assumed + 50 lbs QA attachment on booms + 200 lbs operator) = 5921 lbs for best known and estimated weights.
= 1395 lbs for Woods RB850-2MA rear blade and a quart of coffee.
I tried to look up Woods blade specifications on the web to find out their estimate of weight but could find no hyperlink to their product line. Poor site design!
I suspect that unless the coffee was made with heavy water, there remains signifigant inaccuracy in my current understanding of weights under discussion.
So, next stop is my ag dealer weigh station /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
