Oil & Fuel 50hr service & gripe about shop manual...

Non of this is the fault of Kioti. Many people want service manuals so they "can do more" or like you, to do routine service. Service manuals are way more than that and over most peoples heads. Most of the routine service is addressed in O.M.'s..
I disagree.
A good service manual should be very detailed, easy to read and step by step.
Like I said in an earlier post. My Kawasaki manuals are excellant and very detailed compared to my Kioti manual.
I bought this Ninja 600 a few years ago that was in boxs and in hundreds of pieces.
The Kawasaki service manual is so detailed I was able to follow it step by step and completely assemble the entire machine by using the service manual.
Now thats a service manual and the way they should be written.

Here's the link a member had posted in the past. I downloaded for mine and it seemed like the same as my purchased Kioti manual. I couldn't find the parts manual so I just bought one. The download and site was safe.

downloads.pfgaustralia.com.au - /intranetwebcache/Service/Service Manuals/DA/

This comes from dennis52's homeland but I didn't see the color pictures. Maybe he has a better site.

Just about to put the link on . Thanks Victor,

My earlier post referred to the manuals for my 2011 Kioti DS4510HS model.

I did not intend to suggest that the manuals for the other models were of the same quality.

I noticed that 2 of the earlier models' manuals did not have a similar layout. and , yes, were in black and white.

Seems like Kioti is raising the crossbar on new models

as far as what to change and when I went by the owners manual, my dealer told me not to change the hydraulic fluid and that they do not. I decided to follow the manual to the letter because of warranty issues. Being in the mold industry I have learned that business and people will get selective amnesia about what they tell you if things go south and it is there advice or directions that caused the problem.

Did you find any Cracker Jax in the boxes?:D:laughing:

Nice rice burner! How long for full assembly?

It was really torn down when I got it. The entire wiring harness was off, all the valves (16 valve), valve springs, shims, rockers and cams were removed. The cylinders, pistons, rings and oil pump were all removed.
I replaced all the wheel bearings
The clutch basket and all the discs were in boxes, Etc.Etc.
I probably had 100 hours in it total.
The Kawasaki service manual was so good (easy to understand, and very detailed) it walked me step by step through the entire project. (My Kioti service manual is very vague and confusing in comparison.)
The bike worked great when it was finished. I rode it for a year, then sold it off to buy a new bike in 2009.

The manual is a Service not a assembly book.

Of individual componets yes. But not a assembly manual. Thats not what they are. They are a guide for repairmen to fix machines not make them.

The point I've been trying to make is that I have Kioti service manuals and I have service manuals for my motorcycles.
The service manual for my Kawasaki street bikes are FAR more in depth/detailed and informative than my Kioti manuals and they cost about the same to purchase.
So from my experiance Kioti has a lot of room for improvement on its service manuals

I think you have one of the older manuals as your tractor is not the "se" series. The manual for the DKse line is far better than the previous manuals.
