"Passive regeneration happens when heat in the engine builds to the point where soot, or carbon, is combined with oxygen to create carbon dioxide. Since carbon dioxide is a gas, it can pass through the filter."To make CO2 there has to be 2 oxygens for every carbon. Where are you getting that? Is not in the fuel during regeneration because if the fuel had that much oxygen if sparked it would burn without air.
