580 C backhoe

if anyone can help it would be great ,,,,,580 c backhoe looked up ,,the other day my son went out started the hoe ,,let it run for 15- 20 min then drove it around front of the shed and he went to put down the stabilizers it stalled he started it again got them down tires off the ground THEN he put the hoe in gear and it snufed the motor ,,,its looked up so tight it will not roll over with starter or under neath on the ring gear.....CAN A TORQUE CONVERTER LOOK UP AND IS THERE A FAST OR EASY FIX ,,,ANY HELP PLEASE ,,,AND IT WAS 30 BELOW CELCIUS

I had a 580 C stop dead on me up to the belly pan in mud turned out it had drop a valve and jammed the piston. Generally when the torch goes it does't stop the motor you check by running up against a tree & it won't have any power to spin the wheels. Changing my torch in the torch took 4.5 hrs. in a shop & I changed the pump while I was at it. It may have something to do with your hydraulic pump it runs off the front of the motor and could cause every thing to lock up??? BTW I'm no mechanic just fix my equipment mostly by trial and error. Put it in 1st gear and see if you can turn it over with the back wheel since their off the ground .

thanks i will try that maybe get under it and roll it backwards off the ring gear . i was thinking about the hydrolice pump myself .we loosened the starter to and it was ok thanks again
